Ardsley Man, 20, Caught Breaking Into Vehicles At Condo Complex, Police Say WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Thanks to an alert resident of the Hillcrest Park Condominium Complex, a 20-year-old Ardsley man is under arrest for breaking into vehicles in Peekskill.Shane Oglesby was charged with criminal mischief after a resident contacted police around 2 a.m. Monday to alert them of two people who were looking into parked vehicles in the complex, said Peekskill Police Chief Eric Johansen. 22-Year-Old Charged With Raping Underage Girl In Pleasant Valley DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. - New York State Police in Dutchess County have arrested a Pleasant Valley man for allegedly raping and engaging in sexual acts with a female under the age of 15. On Sunday, state police arrested 22-year-old Travis Bathrick for second-degree rape and criminal sexual act, both felonies. According to police, on Saturday, May 13, troopers received a report regarding an alleged sexual offense that took place in Pleasant Valley. Pole, Wires Down Result In Route 22 Closure In Amenia This story has been updated.AMENIA, N.Y. -- Route 22 at Willow Lane in Amenia was closed for nearly two hours after a downed pole and multiple downed wires in the roadway on Monday. High winds brought down the poles at around noon, said Trooper Melissa McMorris with the New York State Police. The roadway reopened by 1:45 p.m. This is a developing story. Maltese Rescued After Falling Into Sewer Grate, Ramapo PD Says RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo police came to the rescue of a dog on Sunday who had fallen into a sewer grate in the village of Airmont. Lulu, a 12-year-old Maltese, accidentally fell in the grate around 2:40 p.m. and her owner called Ramapo police for help. Luckily, officers were able to rescue Lulu and return her, uninjured, to her grateful owner.

Fire At Poughkeepsie Auto Body Shop Destroys Two Cars POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- A fire inside Bobby's Auto Repair & Collision that broke out around 9:15 p.m. Sunday destroyed two cars but was quickly doused by firefighters, according to City of Poughkeepsie Fire Chief Mark Johnson. Firefighters arrived on scene within minutes of receiving the call for a car on fire at the shop located on Smith Street, Johnson said.
