IBM Engineer Richard Davison, 72, Of Poughkeepsie
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Richard W. Davison, 72, of Poughkeepsie, died Tuesday, March 7, at Mid Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie.
Davison was born Dec. 8, 1944, in Beatrice, Neb. He is the son of the late James and the late Melba Davison.
He married Leonora Jane " Lee " Melhado on Sept. 25, 1971, at St. Stanislaus Church in Pleasant Valley, she predeceased him on Aug. 2, 2014.
A programming engineer at IBM, Davison was also a member of the Town of Poughkeepsie Republican Party and served as their treasurer. He also served on the Town of Poughkeepsie Planning Board.

Jane Cawley, 75, Yonkers Native
Jane E. Cawley, 75, of Poughkeepsie, died Sunday, March 12 at home.
A local resident since 1988, she was previously of Yonkers and Long Island.
Born in the Bronx on Feb. 27, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Bridget McHugh Carter.
Cawley worked in the clerical department for the Department of Corrections in the Down State Facility, retiring in 2005.
She enjoyed playing cards, going to plays and attending her grandchildren's sporting events.

RED HOOK, N.Y. -- Stephen Grant Bayer, 66, of Tivoli, died on Friday, March 10 at Westchester Medical Center.
He was born August 18, 1950, in Rhinebeck, to Walter G Bayer and Charlotte Becker Bayer Heidorn.
Bayer married Mary Winkky on March 15, 1975, and together they raised two daughters, Megan Hedin and Stephanie Bayer.
Bayer was a resident of Red Hook and a graduate of Red Hook High School class of 1968. He maintained deep and lifelong friendships with many former classmates recalling and retelling their adventures and misadventures at many gatherings over the years.
