Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Ida Arrives With Heavy Rain, Gusty Winds, Flash Flooding; Isolated Tornadoes Possible Ida, now a tropical depression, is sweeping toward the Northeast with periods of heavy rain, gusty winds, flash flooding expected in the region with isolated tornadoes possible. Ida is moving through the central Appalachians as it heads northward, with an enhanced risk of tornadoes across parts of the mid-Atlantic on Wednesday, Sept. 1. Projected Rainfall Totals Increase As Ida Will Hit Region With Drenching Downpours, Flooding Projected rainfall totals from this region from now Tropical Depression Ida have increased with flash flood watches now in effect for much of the area. Woman's Body Found In Compact SUV At Commuter Parking Lot In Region An investigation is underway after a body was found inside a parked compact SUV at a commuter parking lot in the region. Just before 7:15 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, there was a report of a strong odor emanating from a gray, Honda CR-V, bearing a California license plate, parked in the I-84 eastbound Exit 2 lot in Danbury, Connecticut State Police said. Responding troopers located a woman inside of the CR-V, who was pronounced dead at the scene, state police said.
