Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Woman Drove Drunk With Three Children In SUV At Long Island Shopping Center, Police Say A woman drove drunk at a busy Long Island shopping center with three children in the SUV, police said. It happened Saturday, Feb. 2 just before 9 p.m. in Lindenhurst, Suffolk County Police said. First Precinct officers observed a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe driving erratically in the parking lot of Applebee’s Grill & Bar, located at 600 North Wellwood Ave., and initiated a traffic stop. Woman Killed, Child Injured In Meadowbrook Parkway Crash Involving Drunk Driver, Police Say A woman was killed and a child injured in an overnight crash involving a drunk driver on the Meadowbrook Parkway, police said. It happened just after midnight on Sunday, Feb. 2 north of exit M7 in Hempstead. A preliminary investigation revealed that the collision occurred when a 2012 Nissan Rogue traveling northbound struck the rear of a 2006 Kia, state police said. Long Island Woman Killed After Being Struck By SUV A woman who was crossing a busy Long Island street was killed after she was hit by an SUV changing lanes. It happened on Saturday, Feb. 1 just before 6:30 p.m. in Centereach.
