Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

The northbound crash happened just before 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19 at Exit 6A (Route 22/Route 138) in Goldens Bridge and is causing miles-long delays. There have been multiple other crashes reported amid the snowy, slippery conditions that began early Saturday afternoon when the quick-moving winter storm arrived. Death Of 8-Year-Old At Long Island Residence Under Investigation Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a child. Seventh Precinct police officers responded to a report of an 8-year-old boy who fell in the driveway of a residence, located on Bittersweet Lane, on Friday, Jan. 17 at approximately 9:40 a.m., Suffolk County Police said. The child was transported to Long Island Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The Suffolk County Medical Examiner is performing an autopsy.  No further details have been released. Two Charged After Teen Is Stabbed At Lirr Station Two juveniles have been apprehended after a teen was slashed at an LIRR train station. The incident happened on Friday, Jan. 17 at 3:40 p.m. in Manhasset, Nassau County Police said. According to detectives, while attempting to purchase drugs from two juvenile subjects, ages 16 and 17, the victim, also 17, was assaulted by the 16-year-old with a knife, causing him to suffer severe lacerations to both of his hands, police said.  The suspects then took $30 from the victim and left the scene. House Fire Breaks Out In Area A house fire broke out overnight in Pearl River. The fire started around 6:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17 in the rear of a home on South Middletown Road before spreading from the yard to the space under the home's deck, Orangetown Police said. Long Island Woman Struck, Killed By Car A woman was killed after being struck by a car while she was crossing a Long Island intersection.  It happened on Friday, Jan. 17 at 5:50 p.m. in West Babylon. Paula James, 60, was crossing Little East Neck Road just north of 12th Street when she was struck by a 2006 Kia traveling northbound on Little East Neck Road, Suffolk County Police said.
