Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Long Island Man Killed After SUV Crashes Into Trees A Long Island man was killed after an SUV crashed into trees off the roadway. The incident happened Friday, Jan. 17 just after 11:30 a.m. in Stony Brook. Ian Brown, of Medford, was driving a 2000 Lincoln Navigator eastbound in a parking lot when it crossed Hallock Road south of Millbrook Road and crashed into multiple trees, Suffolk County Police said. Brown, 52, who was ejected from the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner, according to police. Long Island Store Among Six New JCPenney Store Closures Scheduled A Long Island location is one of six JCPenney stores nationally that will be closing by the end of April. Missing Long Island Woman Found Update: A Silver Alert issued for a missing Long Island woman has been canceled after she was located. Claudia Gerarde, 66, went missing from her home in Farmingville at approximately 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16 after she went walking around the area, Suffolk County Police said. Homicide Investigation Launched After Woman Found Dead In Long Island Home A homicide investigation has been launched after a 27-year-old woman was found dead inside a Long Island home, police said. According to Nassau County Police detectives, officers responded to the home in South Farmingdale on 1st Avenue on a report of a female not breathing on Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 15. Upon arrival, officers located the body and it was determined that the death had occurred at the scene.
