Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Officer-Involved Shooting Reported After Possible Norwalk Carjacking Click here for an updated story: Norwalk Disturbance, Stolen Motor Vehicle Lead To Fatal Officer-Involved Shooting There have been reports of an officer-involved shooting following a carjacking in the Norwalk area. Early Wednesday evening, Jan. 15, troopers out of Troop G-Bridgeport received reports of the incident, state police said. Storm Will Start As Snow Before Changing To Wintry Mix, Causing Potentially Hazardous Travel The weekend winter storm that will start as snow will turn to ice and rain, creating potentially hazardous travel conditions. The entire region is expected to see snowfall sometime after 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18. 38-Year-Old Charged In Death Of Long Island Man Following Altercation Police have charged a man following the investigation of the death of a man after an altercation on Long Island earlier this month. The man died on Sunday, Jan. 5 after reporting he was in an altercation in the Riverhead on Thursday, Jan. 2. Wayne Sapiane reported to police that he was struck on the head by a man Suffolk County Police now identify as 38-year-old Daniel Hughes in the area of West Main Street in Riverhead. Suspect At Large After Attempted Robbery At Long Island Chase Bank A suspect is on the loose after an attempted robbery at a Long Island bank. It happened at the Chase Bank on Sunrise Highway (Route 27) in West Babylon at about 8:50 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14. Suspect On Loose After Burglary At Popular Long Island Market A suspect is at large after a burglary at a popular Long Island market. It happened just after 12:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 12 in Oceanside. Area College Athlete Dies After Accident A college athlete in the area has died after a water accident. Eric Birighitti was the victim of the accident in his home country of Australia, St. Thomas Aquinas College, located in Rockland County in Sparkill, said. The cause of the accident is unclear. Alert Issued For Missing 24-Year-Old Nassau County Man A 24-year-old Long Island man has gone missing and authorities are asking the public's help in locating him. Vincent O'Donnell, a vulnerable adult with autism who may be in need of medical attention, was last seen in Nassau County on Beechwood Avenue in Manhasset at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12, according to the New York State Public Safety Department.
