Explosive Find In Waltham Has Construction Workers, Police Scrambling Construction workers in Waltham got a scare on Monday, Nov. 27, when they found a cache of unexploded cannon balls buried on a job site. Workers were on a job site at 41 Foundry Avenue when they found the 12 potentially explosive cannonballs, Massachusetts State Police said. The unexploded ordinances were found inside a pipe that workers uncovered. Kid Hit By Car In Auburn While Going To School A 9-year-old was hit by a car while going to school Tuesday morning, Nov. 28, in Auburn. The child was struck at the intersection of Oxford St. North and Inwood Drive, Auburn police said. The child suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Auburn police closed down the intersection as they investigated the incident. "This accident happened as kids were headed to school," Auburn police said in a Facebook post. "Thankfully this time the child will be physically okay… please let this be a reminder to pay extra attention while driving."

$2.4M Lottery Jackpot: Peabody Man Planning For Kid's Future With Winnings A Peabody man said he has big plans for the windfall he won playing the Massachusetts State Lottery. Ronald Kocur won $20,000 a month for 10 years as part of the "Decades of Dollars" $10 scratch-off game. That equals out to $2.4 million over the decade. Kocur chose to take the lump sum of $1.56 million (before taxes) rather than the monthly stipends. Donovan's Irish Pub opened its doors at 80 Jarvis Road last week. It features authentic Irish cuisine, drinks, and live entertainment. After Stabbing, Western Mass Bar 'Closed Until Further Notice,' Owners Say The owners of a Berkshire County ramen bar said they created the Pittsfield hotspot to be a safe space for people to meet and have a good time, but a stabbing last week upended that goal. Man Shot To Death Inside Springfield Apartment: Police Springfield police said they found the body of a man inside an apartment early Monday morning, Nov. 27, killed from an apparent gunshot wound.
