Car Crash Leads Police To Fatal Shooting Victim, Wounded Woman In Springfield Springfield police found a man and woman shot inside a crashed car early Saturday morning, Aug. 12, authorities said. Police were called to the Boston Road and Parker Street area just after 2:30 a.m. and found the smashed vehicle. Both people inside had been shot, Springfield police said. Fatal Shooting Victim ID'd In Springfield; Police Searching For Killer Police released the name of the 29-year-old man gunned down Sunday, Aug. 6, in Springfield's South end. Emmanuel Hernandez-Garcia was shot at 7:45 p.m. on Hancock Street near the intersection of Union Street, Springfield police said.
