Duo Nabbed Stealing Cooking Oil From Restaurant In Darien, Police Say Two men were charged with stealing cooking oil from a Fairfield County restaurant after they were spotted by police. The incident took place in Darien around 4 a.m., on Friday, April 22. The two were nabbed when a Darien officer was traveling on Post Road in front of Nino’s Restaurant when he spotted an older white van being backed into the rear of the restaurant without any lights on, said Sgt. Woman From Region Accused Of Attempting To Bring Contraband Into Prison A woman from the region was arrested for allegedly attempting to smuggle drugs into a prison. The arrest took place in Washington County in the town of Comstock on Saturday, April 23. New York State Police were called to the Washington Correctional Facility for a report of a visitor attempting to bring contraband into the facility, said Trooper Kerra Burns. A preliminary investigation determined that Lamess A. New Update: Two Stabbed, One Injured During Fight At High School In Hudson Valley, Police Say Two students were stabbed and one suffered abrasions during a fight at a Hudson Valley high school. The fight took place in Rockland County in Spring Valley around 2:10 p.m., Friday, April 29 at Spring Valley High School. ID Released For Bridgeport Man Found Shot To Death Police have released the name of a man fatally shot in Fairfield County. Michael John Bernardo III, age 35, of Bridgeport, was shot around 12:20 p.m., Thursday, April 28 inside the Garcia Mini Market on Newfield Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found the business was locked with no answer at the door. A second call was received around 1:05 p.m. with reports of a possible robbery and a party shot inside, said Capt.
