Woman Under Influence Found In Damaged Vehicle In Darien, Police Say
A woman was arrested for alleged DUI after being spotted in a damaged vehicle on the side of a roadway in Fairfield County.
The incident took place in Darien around 3:15 a.m. on Thursday, April 7, said Sgt. Dan Skoumbros, of the Darien Police.
Gretchen Miller, age 51, of Stratford, was spotted by a police officer parked on the side of Post Road with heavy front-end damage to the front of her car, Skoumbros said.
When the officer stopped to check on Miller, he could detect a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on her breath, police said.

Husband Of CT Woman Found Dead In Street To Be Charged With Murder, Police Say
A Connecticut man will be charged with the murder of his wife after she was found lying dead on a city street, a victim of domestic violence, police said.
The incident took place in New Haven County around 10:20 a.m., Tuesday, April 26 in Waterbury on Willow Street.
The victim, identified as Moesha Panton, was found when Waterbury police responded to an assault complaint in the area of Willow Street at Roseland Avenue, said Lt. Ryan Bessette, of the Waterbury Police.

Man, Woman Charged For Midnight Burglary In Yorktown
A man and woman from the area were charged with burglary after allegedly being caught inside an occupied Northern Westchester home to remove items inside.
The incident took place in Yorktown around midnight on Thursday, April 21.
The duo were caught when Yorktown Police responded to a 911 call about a man and woman attempting to enter a garage attached to an occupied residence, said Sgt. S. Sansone, of the Yorktown Police.

Man Seriously Injured After Being Struck By Car On Long Island
A Long Island man was seriously injured after being struck by a car while walking along a roadway.
The incident took in Port Jefferson Station around 8:40 p.m., Tuesday, April 27.
Mitchell Leventhal, age 64, of Port Jefferson Station, was walking in the roadway of Route 112, north of Jefferson Avenue when he was struck by a northbound 2004 Lexus ES 330, said the Suffolk County Police.
Leventhal was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, police said.
