Man Dies After Falling Attempting To Retrieve Downed Drone In Hudson Valley, Police Say A man from the area was killed after reaching for a downed drone and falling more than 250 feet in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place in Orange County in Deerpark around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5, said Trooper Steven Nevel. State police responded to the Hawk’s Nest in the town of Deerpark after the victim, identified as Sullivan County resident Binh Ledinh, age 42, of Lumberland, was reported missing by his wife, Nevel said. Yankees Fans Struck By Lightning While Leaving Spring Training Game Two Yankees fans were struck by lightning while leaving a spring training game. The incident took in Tampa, Florida, around 3:45 p.m., Saturday, April 2, said Vanessa Nettingham, of the Tampa Police. The strike occurred when the two were walking in the parking lot of the Raymond James Stadium across from George M. Steinbrenner Field, Nettingham said. FBI Arrests Superintendent Of Schools In New England The FBI has arrested a school superintendent in the region for allegedly obstructing the department's investigation into the alleged extortion of a city employee. Western Massachusetts resident Lynn Clark age 51, of Belchertown in Hampden County, was arrested early Wednesday, April 6, said FBI Boston Division spokesperson Kristen Setera. Clark is the superintendent of Chicopee Public Schools. Suspect At Large After Fatal Shooting Of Man From Fairfield County Police in Connecticut are searching for a man who allegedly shot and killed a victim during a drug deal, police said. The incident took place in New Haven County in Ansonia around 12:50 p.m., Tuesday, April 5. Ansonia police received a 911 call from a man reporting he was on Main Street near Kingston Drive and his friend was shot. Woman's Arm Becomes Impaled In Industrial Machine At Long Island Business A Long Island woman suffered serious injuries when her arm became impaled in an industrial machine at an area business. Gunfire Hits CT State Senator's New Haven Home Bullets struck the Connecticut home of State Sen. Gary Winfield, during a shooting in which a man was wounded. 21-Year-Old From Hudson Valley Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Child A Hudson Valley man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a child under 11. Orange County resident Cormega Berkley, age 21, was arrested on Monday, April 4, in Newburgh by New York State Police. Berkley, of the city of Newburgh, was arrested after allegations arose about his allegedly having sexually assaulted the child, said Trooper Steven Nevel. A joint investigation by the Orange County Child Abuse Unit led to Berkley's arrest, Nevel said. He was charged with predatory sexual assault against a child and remanded to the Orange County Jail.
