Covid-19: Stop & Shop Pharmacies Now Offering Anti-Viral Medication Stop & Shop has begun offering two approved COVID-19 antiviral medicines, Pfizer's Paxlovid and Merck's Molnupiravir at its 55 New York pharmacies. The mega-supermarket chain made the announcement on Thursday, April 7, that the drugs would be available at no cost with a valid prescription from a health care provider. Long Island Man Nabbed With 18 Handguns, Police Say A Long Island man has been apprehended after police allegedly found 18 illegal weapons in his home. Matthew Spigner, age 69 of Manhasset was arrested on Thursday, April 7 at his home. Spigner was arrested on a warrant by members of the Nassau County Police, Homeland Security, Nassau County District Attorney's Office, and the US Postal Service. Man Accused Of Invading CT Home Dressed In Amazon Uniform A man accused of wearing a fake Amazon delivery uniform during a Connecticut home invasion has been arrested. The suspect turned himself in to police on Thursday, April 8 for the incident that took place on Monday, Jan. 10 in New Haven County at a home in Milford. Man Killed In Two-Vehicle I-84 Crash, CT State Police Say One Connecticut man is dead and another seriously injured after one of the vehicles crossed the center-median into oncoming traffic on I-84, according to authorities. City of Springfield Warns Residents Of Possible Contamination In Drinking Water A Western Massachusetts city is warning residents of possible contamination in their drinking water. The contamination notification was announced in the city of Springfield on Wednesday, April 6, by the Springfield Water and Sewer Commission. School Superintendent In New England Arrested By FBI Placed On Administrative Leave A school superintendent in New England who was arrested by the FBI for allegedly making threats against a police chief candidate has placed on administrative leave. CT Woman Killed After House Fire Breaks Out A Connecticut woman was killed during a fire at a home. The fire took place in West Haven around 2:11 p.m., Wednesday, April 6. The West Haven Police and West Haven Fire departments responded to the home at 10 Cynthia Circle after receiving a 911 call reporting a residential fire, said Sgt. Suspects On Run After Home Burglary Interrupted In Westfield Police are searching for two suspects who allegedly broke into an occupied home and fled when officers arrived in Western Massachusetts.
