She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Hudson Valley Man Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash A Hudson Valley man was killed during a single-vehicle crash, The crash took place in Rockland County around 9 a.m., Saturday, April 9, on Route 45 in Ramapo on North Main Street and Bristol Lane. On arrival, officers learned that the sole occupant of the vehicle, a 57-year-old man from Hillcrest, had been ejected from a Jeep Grand Cherokee, the Ramapo Police said. Spring Hill Ambulance and Rockland Paramedics arrived on the scene the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver has not been identified pending notification of next of kin. CT Man Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash, Police Say A 21-year-old Connecticut man and University of New Haven student was killed in a crash after the vehicle he was riding in struck a tree, police said. The crash took place in New Haven around 3:30 a.m., Saturday, April 9 on Congress Avenue. Responding officers located a black Chevrolet Cruz that had struck a tree. New Haven Fire responded and removed the operator and a passenger, according to authorities. Bridgeport Man Killed In Shooting That Injures Two Others, Police Say A Fairfield County man was killed in a shooting that injured two others. The shooting took place in Bridgeport around 4 a.m., Saturday, April 9 at the Bridgeport Innovative Center located at 955 Connecticut Ave. Upon arrival on the scene, patrol officers located a 33-year-old victim identified as Michael Yon, of Bridgeport, said Capt. Bank Robbery Suspect On Run After Making Off With Cash, Police Say A man who allegedly robbed an M&T bank in the region is on the run after making off with cash. The robbery took place in Sullivan County around 1:20 p.m., Friday, April 8 at the bank located in Monticello at 4446 Route 42, said the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office. Witness told sheriff’s detectives that a white male wearing an orange shirt and no mask entered the bank and passed a note to the teller stating he had a gun and demanded money, the sheriff's office said. 11-Month-Old Girl Abducted In Bridgeport Found Safe, Police Say An 11-month-old girl who was abducted in Fairfield County allegedly by her father has been found safe. Jalayjah Douglas, of New Haven, who was "kidnapped" by her father on Friday, April 8 in Bridgeport, was found safe on the west side of the city on Saturday, April 9, said Capt. Kevin Gilleran, of the Bridgeport Police. Accused Area Drug Dealer Nabbed Following Investigation A Hudson Valley drug dealer has been arrested for allegedly selling drugs in the area following an investigation by state police. Michael Knapp, age 37, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested on Friday, April 1, said Trooper AJ Hicks. An investigation found that Knapp illegally possessed and sold buprenorphine and naloxone in the city of Poughkeepsie, Hick said. He was charged with two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Massachusetts Man Admits To Attempting To Buy $83K Sports Car Using Stolen IDs A Massachusetts man pleaded guilty to attempting to buy an $83,000 Chevrolet Camaro using two victims' stolen identities. Worcester County resident Brandon Brouillard, age 28, of Worcester, made the plea on Thursday, April 8, said the US Attorney’s Office District of Massachusetts. LI Man Found Sleeping In Car In Roadway Busted For Drugs, Gun Possession A Long Island man was busted on weapons and drug charges after he was allegedly found sleeping in his vehicle in the middle of a roadway.
