Alert Issued For Missing NY Woman Massachusetts State Police are searching for a missing upstate New York woman who hasn't been seen in days. Albany County resident Meghan A. Marohn, age 42, of Delmar, hasn't been seen since Sunday, March 27. Her vehicle, a black 2017 Subaru Impreza, was found in Berkshire County in the town of Lee parked on Church Street at Longcope Park, a heavily wooded hiking area in south Lee, said the state police. NYC Resident Accused Of Starting Wildfire In Region A New York City resident allegedly violated the statewide brush burn ban which caused a wildland fire in the region. On Tuesday, March 22 at 4:15 p.m., state forest rangers responded to an open burn in Sullivan County off Route 209 in the town of Mamakating, said the state Department of Environmental Conservation. A 41-year-old Manhattan resident was burning brush and had left the fire unattended, DEC officials said. Due to high winds and dry conditions, the fire spread to approximately 2.5 acres of land. Bridgeport Man Nabbed For Stabbing That Left Victim In Critical Condition A Fairfield County man was arrested for allegedly stabbing another man multiple times outside of a market, leaving him in critical condition. The incident took place around 3:45 p.m., Tuesday, March 29, in Bridgeport, at the intersection of Kossuth Street and Maple Street; just outside the Agua Miel Market. Drunk LI Tractor-Trailer Driver Causes Chain Reaction Crash, Police Say A Long Island man driving a tractor-trailer was arrested after allegedly causing a chain reaction crash involving six vehicles and then fleeing the scene. The crash took place in Suffolk County around 5 p.m., Tuesday, March 29 in Southampton on County Road 39 at Tuckahoe Road in Southampton. Silver Alert Issued For Missing Norwalk 14-Year-Old Girl A Silver Alert has been issued for a 14-year-old Fairfield County girl. Fatima Aguirre, of Norwalk, was last seen at noon, Tuesday, March 29, said Lt. Joe Dinho, of the Norwalk Police. It is unknown what she was wearing, police said. Pediatric Doctor From Hudson Valley Nabbed For Sex Abuse A Hudson Valley pediatric doctor has been charged in connection with alleged sexual abuse of children. Dutchess County resident Ibrahim Rabadi, age 63, of Red Hook, was arraigned on Tuesday, March 29 on a sealed indictment. The investigation into Rabadi, who practices in Columbia County in Hudson, and in Greene County in Catskill, began after two female victims reported separate incidents to police, said Hudson Police Chief Edward Moore. Duo Accused Of Stealing Purses From Shopping Carts In Hudson Valley Police in the region are asking the public for help identifying a couple of thieves who have allegedly been snagging purses and wallets from shopping carts. The Town of Ulster Police Department is investigating several larcenies of purses and wallets from shopping carts in the Kings Mall over the last two weeks. Talking Heads Drummer Hit By Drunk Driver Near Fairfield-Bridgeport Border A famous drummer and rocker from the Talking Heads and his wife barely escaped being killed when they were hit by a wrong-way drunk driver in Fairfield County. 23-Year-Old Woman Sentenced For Death Of Newborn In Hudson Valley A Hudson Valley woman has been sentenced in connection with the death of her newborn found thrown in a vacant lot. Orange County resident Nicole H. Layman, age 23, of Port Jervis, was sentenced to four to 15 years in prison on Monday, March 28 for the incident which took place in November 2019. Fire Causes Extensive Damage To Westport Home A fire caused extensive damage to a Fairfield County home as temperatures dipped into the 20s. The fire took place around 5 p.m., Monday, March 28, at 24 Red Coat Road in Westport.
