Car Crashes Into Two Houses In Stratfod Police are investigating after a car crashed into two different houses in Fairfield County. The incident took place on Monday, March 7, at the intersection of Stonybrook Road and Success Avenue, said the Stratford Fire Department. Suspect In Fatal Shooting Of CT Woman Commits Suicide, Police Say A man who was a suspect in the shooting of two Connecticut women, killing one and leaving the other in critical condition, has committed suicide. County Executive In Hudson Valley Deploying To Europe With Navy Reserves A Hudson Valley county executive will be shipping off to Europe with the US Navy as part of the effort to help Ukraine and the ongoing conflict in the region. Police Department In Hudson Valley Welcomes New K-9 Officer From Europe A new K-9 officer from Europe has joined the ranks of an area police department. K-9 Cruise, an 18-month-old Belgian Malinois from the Slovak Republic, joined the town of Ulster Police Department on Thursday, March 3. Westchester Man Nabbed After Robbing Mamaroneck Gas Station, Police Say A Hudson Valley man was captured hiding in a shed after allegedly robbing an area gas station. Suspect On Run After Shooting Man At Long Island Mall Police are searching for a suspect who walked into a footwear store at a Long Island mall and shot a man. The incident took place in Nassau County around 4:30 p.m., Monday, March 7 at the Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream. Police Investigating Shooting At Chili's Restaurant In Danbury Police are investigating a shooting incident outside a Chili's restaurant in northern Fairfield County. The incident took place around 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 5 when officers responded to the Chili's Restaurant at 81 Newtown Road inn Danbury for the report of a disturbance with shots fired. One Critically Injured In Crash That Causes Road Closure In Greenwich One person suffered life-threatening injuries after crashing a 2020 Jeep Wrangler into a tree and a utility pole. The crash, which closed the roadway for several hours, took place around 8 p.m., Sunday, March 6, in the area of 300 East Putnam Ave., in Greenwich.
