One Hospitalized After House Fire Breaks Out In Springfield One person was hospitalized after a house fire broke out in Western Massachusetts. The fire started in Springfield on Tuesday morning, Feb. 8 at 247 Trafton Road. One person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following the fire, according to Springfield Fire and Emergency Services. The Springfield Arson and Bomb Squad is working to determine what started the fire, which is believed to have begun in the basement, the department said.

The 69-year-old man was struck by a car around 5:45 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 8 in Yonkers. while crossing Fort Hill Avenue at Young Avenue. His identity has not yet been released. According to Yonkers Police, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the police. A preliminary investigation found the vehicle struck the man who was in the roadway, police said. There is no indication of foul play, police added. This is a developing story. Suffolk County Man Seriously Injured In Stabbing Police on Long Island are investigating after a man was found seriously injured from a stabbing. The incident took place around 9:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 7, when Suffolk County Police responded to a home at 49 Walter Court in Commack for a reported injured man. Victim Of Double-Fatal Palisades Parkway Crash ID'd As First Responder In Northern Westchester One of the victims of a wrong-way head-on double fatal crash on the Palisades Parkway was a Northern Westchester County emergency medical technician.  Aristan Garandeau, age 22, of Croton-on-Hudson, died around 2:40 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 6 in Clarkstown, said the New York State Police. Garandeau was traveling in the wrong direction on the parkway when he hit another car head-on driven by Brendan Seabrook, 27, of Pennsylvania, who was also killed, said state police. Nassau County District Attorney Anne T.
