Area Man Wounded During Shooting Incident, Police Say A 27-year-old man was wounded during a shooting incident in the area. The shooting took place in Orange County around 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 18 at 97 Fullerton Ave., in Newburgh. According to the City of Newburgh Police, officers located the wounded man who had been shot in the leg and the back when they responded to a report of a shooting. CT Teacher Accused Of Leaving Children Home Alone While She Traveled Out Of State A Connecticut school teacher has been arrested for allegedly leaving two children home alone while she traveled out of the state. Litchfield County resident Kerry Lyn Caviasca, age 36, of Watertown, was arrested on Saturday, Jan. 15, for leaving two children alone for two days and nights, said Detective Mark Conway, of the Watertown Police. 26-Year-Old Charged With Murder After Stabbing At Area Residence A Hudson Valley man has been charged with murder after allegedly stabbing another man to death. Dutchess County resident David A. Trotta Jr., age 26, of Amenia, was arrested on Sunday, Jan. 16, and charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
