Driver Jumps Out Of Stolen Car, Causing Crash In Springfield, Police Say A man driving an alleged stolen vehicle in Western Massachusetts jumped out of the still-moving car when police attempted a traffic stop. The incident took place on Saturday, Jan. 15, when Springfield Police located a stolen vehicle on Bicentennial Highway. The incident took place in Putnam County around 11:45 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 15, when the Mahopac Falls Dive Team was requested to South Lake Boulevard for reports of a vehicle submerged in the lake, the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department said. Hartford Police and US Marshals arrested a Manchester man on Friday, Jan. 14, in connection with the July murder of a Hartford man, said Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police.
