Troopers Search For Attempted Murder Suspect In Woods Off Mass Pike Massachusetts State Police report that a man wanted for attempted murder is believed to have fled into a wooded area following an effort to arrest him. The incident took place around 8 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 28, after members of the State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section and Troop C patrols attempted to arrest an unidentified man wanted on numerous warrants on charges that include assault and attempted murder. Reports Of Black Students Receiving Racist Emails Under Investigation At UMass UMass Amherst is reporting an increase in racially motivated anti-Black incidents, according to a statement by the university’s vice-chancellor. In a message sent to students on Thursday, Sept. 23, Vice-Chancellor and Chief Diversity Officer Nefertiti Walker, said a racist email was sent to numerous Black-centered student groups on campus on Friday, Sept. 17. ID Released For HS Football Player Killed In Fairfield County Crash A high school football player in Fairfield County has been identified as the teen who was killed during a single-vehicle crash over the weekend. Jordan Martinez, age 17, of Stamford, was killed around 11:30 p.m., Saturday, according to the Office of the State Medical Examiner. CT Man Killed In ATV Crash While Riding With Brother, Friend A Connecticut man died in an ATV accident while riding with his brother and a friend. New Haven County resident Sebastian Constantini, age 47, of Oxford, was killed around 4 p.m., Monday, Sept. 27, in Madrid, Maine, after losing control of his vehicle and crashing. Mark Latti, a spokesman with the Maine Warden Service, said Constantini was riding on the Interconnected Trail System, on a 2019 Suzuki King Quad ATV, and his brother and friend were on separate ATVs following him. SUV Slams Into Second Floor Of Connecticut Home An SUV ended up inside the second story of a Connecticut home after the driver crashed into the residence. The crash took place in New London County around 1:30 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 25, in Norwich, said the Great Plain Volunteer Fire Department. The department said when it arrived on the scene they found the SUV had crashed through a second-story room of the home, with the driver still inside the vehicle with a power line resting on the roof. Driver Killed After Crash Near Hotel In Fairfield County A driver was killed in a crash near a hotel in Fairfield County. The crash took place in Greenwich around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25 police in the area of 1700 E. Putnam Ave., near the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Greenwich Police said the driver, who has been identified, died from their injuries. Her name has not yet been released. The Traffic Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate. New Dispatch Audio Reveals Cops In Utah Were Told Brian Laundrie Hit Gabby Petito New dispatch audio shows that police in Utah who pulled over Brian Laundrie and Gabby Petito knew before they stop that he had allegedly hit her and they may have violated protocol when they did not arrest him. The audio of the dispatch call contradicts reports from officers in Moab City, Utah, they were unaware of a call from a person who said they had witnessed Laundrie slapping Petito. Driver Dies After Rollover Crash In Region A woman has died following a rollover car crash in the region. The 31-year-old woman, who has not been identified, died following the Western Massachusetts crash in West Springfield, on Thursday, Sept. 23. Hampden District Attorney’s Office spokesperson Jim Leydon, said the crash took place on Memorial Avenue when the driver of an SUV struck another vehicle. After hitting the vehicle, the woman lost control of the SUV and hit a guiderail, causing it to roll over and catch fire, he said. Police said speeding is being considered as a factor in the crash.

One Killed, Two Injured In Fairfield County Crash A Fairfield County man was killed and two others injured during an early morning crash. The crash took place around 1:40 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 25 on Danbury Road near the intersection of Route 35 in Ridgefield.
