One Killed, Another Hospitalized After Car Crashes Into Utility Pole In Hudson Valley One person was killed and another hospitalized with severe injuries during a single-vehicle Hudson Valley crash overnight. It happened around 11:45 p.m., Friday, Sept. 24 in Rockland County in the area of Lake Road and Route 9W in Congers. Officers arriving on the scene discovered an overturned car that had struck a utility pole, said Detective Norm Peters of the Clarkstown Police Department. Fairfield County Man Accused Of Stealing $260 Worth Of Merchandise From Target A Fairfield County man has been charged with stealing more than $260 in merchandise from an area Target store.  Jonathan Valentine, age 24, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Saturday, 11, at the Target store in Milford. According to Milford Police, Valentine was arrested after officers responded to the store on a report of a shoplifting that has just occurred. An investigation led to the arrest of Valentine who is accused of stealing more than $260 in goods, police said. He was charged with larceny and released on a promise to appear ticket.
