Second Suspect Caught After Attack By Dirt Bikers In Western Mass Police in the region have arrested a second person allegedly involved in the Monday, July 5 assault at the "X."  A 22-year-old Springfield man was charged in the incident in which a driver was assaulted by several dirt bikers. Storm Ida: NY Thruway Reopens The New York State Thruway has reopened after immense flooding from Storm Ida closed down the busy roadway for hours through the Hudson Valley. As of 2 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 2, the Thruway Authority announced that all lanes are now open on I-87 south between exit 14 and exit 12.  Two lanes are open northbound - the right lane remains closed at exit 12 due to flooding.  Delays exist from ponding water and traffic. The roadway had been closed for hours in Rockland and Westchester County due to heavy flooding. State Police say motorists should use caution.

It happened in Dutchess County at 1 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 2. Missing CT Man Found Within Hours Of Silver Alert A Connecticut man who had been missing for more than three weeks was found safe within hours after a Silver Alert was issued. Connecticut State Police issued a Silver Alert for Litchfield County resident Theodore Lewis, age 68, of North Canaan on Wednesday, Sept. 1. Lewis had been missing from his home since Sunday, Aug. 8, state police said. After the Silver Alert was issued, Lewis was located safe in New Haven County in Waterbury, state police said.
