Long Island Man Injures Officer While Being Booked On Domestic Violence Charge, Police Say A Long Island man was arrested for allegedly attacking a police officer following his arrest for domestic violence. Kenneth Lewis, age 36, of Hempstead, was arrested around 7:20 a.m., Sunday, July 18, while being processed for a domestic incident in Baldwin, said the Nassau County Police. Person Found Dead, Stabbed Mulitple Times In Fairfield County, Police Say Police are investigating a fatal stabbing that happened overnight in Fairfield County. Officers responded to the 100th block of Whitney Avenue in Bridgeport around 3:40 a.m., Tuesday, July 20. Once on the scene, officers found the victim who had been stabbed multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene, said Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management. Shell Casings Found After Shots Fired On Long Island Street Police are asking the public for help after locating two shell casings on a Long Island street following a call for shots fired. The incident took place around 1:50 a.m., Monday, July 19, on Grand Avenue near the border of South Hempstead and Baldwin.
