Toddler In Critical Condition After Fatal Crash Between Car, SUV With Nine Occupants A 3-year-old is in critical condition following a crash over the weekend that left a woman dead and at least three others injured. The crash took place around 8:30 p.m., Saturday, July 17, on Route 32 in Orange County in the town of Cornwall. Police Asking Public For Help Locating Long Island Hit-Run Driver Police are asking the public for help locating a vehicle that hit an electric scooter, injuring the driver, before fleeing the scene of the Long Island crash. The crash took place around 10:50 p.m., Monday, July 5, in Westbury, said the Nassau County Police. According to detectives, a 31-year-old man was riding an electric scooter near the intersection of Cambridge Avenue and Franklin Street when an unknown vehicle struck him. Long Island Man Injures Officer While Being Booked On Domestic Violence Charge, Police Say A Long Island man was arrested for allegedly attacking a police officer following his arrest for domestic violence. Kenneth Lewis, age 36, of Hempstead, was arrested around 7:20 a.m., Sunday, July 18, while being processed for a domestic incident in Baldwin, said the Nassau County Police. According to detectives, Lewis became physically combative with the officers. As a result, one of the officers received injuries to his left wrist. Person Found Dead, Stabbed Mulitple Times In Fairfield County, Police Say Police are investigating a fatal stabbing that happened overnight in Fairfield County. Officers responded to the 100th block of Whitney Avenue in Bridgeport around 3:40 a.m., Tuesday, July 20. Once on the scene, officers found the victim who had been stabbed multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene, said Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management. Long Island Man Charged With Vehicular Homicide Following Fatal Crash A Long Island man has been charged with vehicular homicide following the death of motorcyclist authorities say he hit while allegedly driving under the influence. Shell Casings Found After Shots Fired On Long Island Street Police are asking the public for help after locating two shell casings on a Long Island street following a call for shots fired. The incident took place around 1:50 a.m., Monday, July 19, on Grand Avenue near the border of South Hempstead and Baldwin. According to Nassau County Police detectives, officers responded to a call for shots fired in front of 1177 Grand Ave. Upon arrival, officers recovered two shell casings from the street. Former Town Supervisor In Hudson Valley Dies At Age 56 A former town supervisor in the area has died at the age of 56. Paul Hansut, who served as supervisor in the Town of Lloyd in Ulster County, died on Saturday, July 17.
