Man Attempted To Rob Woman Behind Fairfield County Restaurant, Police Say A Fairfield County man was arrested for allegedly attempting to rob a woman as she was walking in a parking lot behind a restaurant. Joseph Riley, age 40, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Sunday, May 30, by police following the reported attempted robbery in Darien, said Sgt. Teen Nabbed For Stealing Vehicle In Fairfield County, Police Say A Fairfield County man has been arrested for a 2019 incident in which he allegedly stole a 2010 Jeep Wrangler. According to Darien Police, in November 2019, a resident called police to report their vehicle was missing from their driveway, said Sgt. James Palmieri. The vehicle had been left unlocked with the keys inside, police said. Several days later, Darien Police were informed that the stolen vehicle had engaged Bridgeport Police in pursuit and the suspect had gotten away on foot. Worker Trapped After Porch Collapses In Western Mass A construction worker received non-life-threatening injuries after being trapped during a partial structural collapse. The incident took place on Wednesday, June 2, at 783 Belmont Ave., when structural supports for the porch roof failed, trapping one worker, said the Springfield Fire and Emergency Management.  The man was extricated by the Springfield Fire Department and transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the department said.

Man Shot Outside Of Long Island Home, Police Say Police are investigating after a man was found shot in the leg outside of a Long Island home. The shooting took place around 7:42 p.m., Thursday, June 3, outside of 86 Parkwood Drive in Shirley, said the Suffolk County Police.
