Man, Woman Face Charges After Incident Involving BB Gun At Long Island Stop & Shop
A man and woman were arrested for allegedly threatening a customer at a Long Island Stop & Shop with what turned out to be a BB gun during an argument.
The incident took place around 8:45 p.m., Sunday, May 23, at the store at 50 Cherry Valley Ave., in West Hempstead, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, the victim was shopping when he had a verbal disagreement with another man he didn't know who then exited the store and retrieved what appeared to be a black handgun from his parked car.

Area Duo Nabbed With Drugs, Guns, During Warrants Search, Police Say
Two Hudson Valley men have been arrested for allegedly dealing drugs through the region following a joint investigation.
John Diamond, age 27, of Chester, in Orange County, and Dyland Cronk, age 31, of Beacon, were arrested on Tuesday, May 18, following the investigation by the Dutchess County Drug Task Force along with the Ulster Regional Narcotics Team, the DEA, and Homeland Security Hudson Valley, said Frank Tasciotti, assistant coordinator of the Task Force.

Man Accused Of Beating Woman With Lawn Chair In Area, Police Say
A 32-year-old man was arrested for domestic violence after allegedly beating a woman with a lawn chair.
John Peters, age 32, of Conway, South Carolina, was arrested by New York State Police on Wednesday, May 19, after police responded to a home in the town of Fishkill, said Trooper AJ Hicks.
During an investigation of the incident, troopers found that Peters struck the victim with a lawn chair causing the victim to suffer serious but non-life-threatening injuries, Hicks said.
He was arrested and charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
