Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Recalled Mushrooms Linked To New Salmonella Outbreak Dozens of people in 10 states have been sickened after a salmonella outbreak that has been linked to mushrooms, the Food and Drug Administration and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said. Four of 41 people infected have been hospitalized. Those sickened range in age from 2 to 74. Long Island Man Charged After Child Porn Found On Desktop Computer, Police Say A Long Island man has been charged with possession of child pornography. After receiving a tip from the New York State Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the Suffolk County Police Computer Crimes Unit launched an investigation into Brian Anderson, 67, of West Babylon. One Killed In Three-Vehicle Westchester Crash One person was killed in a three-vehicle crash that caused the closure of a busy roadway in Westchester. It happened just after 9:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25 on the northbound Hutchinson River Parkway near Lincoln Avenue in Mount Vernon. A motorcyclist involved in the crash was thrown from the vehicle into the southbound lanes. Two cars were also involved and no other injuries were reported. The identity of the victim has not yet been released. The roadway was closed for several hours during the accident investigation. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

Long Island Man Drove Drunk With Three Kids In SUV, Police Say A Long Island man is facing a host of charges after police say he drove drunk with three children in his SUV. A blue 2018 Honda Pilot traveling southbound on Peninsula Boulevard was observed by officers impeding traffic and failing to maintain their lane on Friday, Sept. 25 at 11:10 p.m. in Lynbrook, Nassau County Police said. Man Charged With DWI After Crash Seriously Injures Long Island Mom, Daughters A Long Island man was charged with driving while intoxicated after a crash that seriously injured another driver and her children. It happened just after 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25 in Farmingville. Erika Bautista, 31, of Farmingville, and her three daughters were inside a northbound 2015 Honda, which had become disabled in the right lane of County Route 83, north of South Bicycle Path, Suffolk County Police said. Covid-19: Alert Issued For Exposure At Area Church An alert has been issued for potential exposure to COVID-19 for those who visited a church in the area. The Rockland County Department of Health said it has been notified that a person who tested positive for COVID-19 attended three separate Spanish language masses at the Gracepoint Gospel Fellowship Church, located at 384 New Hempstead Road in New City, during the person's infectious period.
