Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

NY Amber Alert For Two Young Girls Canceled Update: The New York State Amber Alert for a mother who abducted her two young children was canceled just before 9 a.m. on Monday. The 2-year-old and 2-month-old girls have been located and are safe, state police said. No other details were immediately released. Tropical Storm Watch In Effect For Part Of Westchester With Hurricane Jose making its way north alongside the East Coast, a Tropical Storm Watch is now in effect for part of the Hudson Valley. The watch, which went into effect at 5:29 p.m. Sunday, has been issued by the National Weather Service for Southern Westchester. A Tropical Storm Watch means tropical storm wind conditions are possible somewhere within the area and within the next 48 hours. Missing Monsey Man Found In Airmont Update: The 93-year-old Monsey man who went missing on Sunday has been located in Airmont, Ramapo Police said early Monday afternoon. Police report he is well but was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital as a precaution to be medically evaluated. Previous report: An alert has been issued for a Rockland County man who went missing on Sunday. Charles Neustein is a 93-year-old missing vulnerable adult with Alzheimer's disease who may be in need of medical attention. Julianne Benfield Of Brewster, 52 Julianne (Yusi) Benfield of Brewster, a longtime nurse in Westchester, died peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 52 years old. Mrs. Benfield was born on Jan. 23, 1965 in Boston, MA, daughter to Ramon and Joyce (Govaars) Yusi. Julianne was a graduate of Dover-Sherborn High School in Sherborn, MA and continued her education at the University of Massachusetts, receiving her bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Westchester Resident Among Four Students Attacked With Acid In France One of four Boston College students attacked on Sunday by acid in France while studying abroad in France is from Westchester. Michelle Krug, a junior from White Plains, was among the victims of the attack at a Marseilles train station. Some of the women, who were hospitalized, suffered burns and eye damage. The acid was reportedly thrown by a mentally ill woman in her late 40s and is not terror-related. Krug is a White Plains High School graduate. Driver Flees After Car Hits Building Occupied By Employees In Sloatsburg ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A car slammed into a commercial building occupied by employees overnight Sunday in Sloatsburg, according to Ramapo Police. The incident occurred around 3 a.m. on Seven Lakes Drive in Sloatsburg. The building was occupied by two employees who were in the process of closing for the night, police said.
