An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A benefit is being held for Tom Kennedy, who is battling breast cancer. Tom is the son of Thomas Kennedy, an Orangetown Police Officer who was killed by a drunk driver in 1973 while directing traffic. Expect Traffic As Art Show Comes To Armonk ARMONK, N.Y. -- Armonk is hosting its annual Armonk Outdoor Art Show on Saturday, Sept. 23 and Sunday, Sept. 24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the North Castle Community Park at 205 Business Park Drive in Armonk. Due to this event, there will be a significant increase in vehicle and pedestrian traffic along Business Park Drive, North Castle Police said. People are asked to use caution when traveling in this area and allow extra time for their trip, police said. Traffic control personnel will be in the area to assist and help direct vehicles to approved parking areas, police said.

Cynthia Gagne, 57, Ossining OSSINING, N.Y. -- Cynthia “Cindy” Gagne passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sept. 18. She was born in the Bronx on May 10, 1960. She was the third of four daughters of James Marco and Catherine Frees, both born in the Bronx.  Shortly thereafter, the family moved to Ossining, where Cynthia attended Brookside Elementary School and the Ossining Middle School.
