Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Man, 46, Collapses, Dies Near Valhalla Bus Stop VALHALLA, N.Y. -- A 46-year-old man died early Sunday while waiting for a bus on Walker Road near a non-profit homeless shelter where he had been living. Westcheester County police said that Robert Norville was standing at the bus stop when he fell backward into a drainage ditch.
