NJ McDonald's Customer Burned By Scalding Tea, Lawsuit Says A woman is suing a McDonald's in Morris County claiming she suffered severe burns from their hot tea in January 2022. Stacey Crisman, a Kenvil resident, says in the suit that an employee at the McDonald's at 249 Route 10 East in Succasunna did not properly close the lid on a cup of tea, causing scalding hot tea to spill all over Crisman, according to the lawsuit.  The effects  of the have been severe on Crisman, who said she "has lost the enjoyment of life," according to the lawsuit. Man Fatally Shot In West Orange: Prosecutors A man was fatally shot in West Orange on the afternoon of Sunday, Feb. 4, authorities said. At 12:22 p.m., West Orange police responded to a report of a shooting on the 100 block of Lakeside Avenue in West Orange and found the unidentified victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Two Injured After Dump Truck Collides With Car In Warren County: Njsp Two people were injured after a car collided with a dump truck on Route 46 and County Road 519 in Warren County on Thursday, Feb. 1, authorities said. At 3:48 p.m., state troopers responded to the scene in White Township and found a Dodge Journey had crashed into a Freightliner dump truck, Detective Jeffrey LeBron said.  The driver and passenger of the Dodge sustained minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital, LeBron said. The crash remains under investigation, LeBron said.

Man Charged In Thanksgiving Eve Crash That Killed Hackettstown Mom A 51-year-old Hackettstown man was arrested on Thursday, Jan. 4 and charged with vehicular manslaughter following a Thanksgiving Eve crash that killed a 33-year-old mother of two. Andrzej Szysko was heading east in a Jeep Wrangler that struck the passenger's side of a Ford pickup truck, heading south on Route 517 in Allamuchy around 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023, New Jersey State Police said. Car Crash Knocks Down Power Lines: Chatham PD A car crash caused a power outage in Chatham on Friday, Feb. 2,authorities said. Main Street was closed between Fairmount Avenue and Lafayette Avenue after wires went down following the crash, the Chatham Borough  Police Department said on Facebook.  Power remains out but is expected to be restored within the hour, police said. Police are asking residents avoid the area while they replace the pole, officers said.
