Three Burglars Break Into Dispensary, Take $1,200: North Plainfield PD Three burglars broke into a dispensary in North Plainfield just after midnight on Wednesday, Jan. 3, taking more than $1,200 in cash, authorities said. At 12:58 a.m., the three unknown suspects, wearing all black clothing, broke into Cloud 9 Dispensary at 513 Route 22 West by shattering the side window, police said. The suspects ransacked the cash registers, taking the money, before fleeing on foot, police said. The suspects remain at large, police said as they continue to investigate.

NJ Driver, 20, Charged In Fatal New Year's Eve Crash In NY A 20-year-old Newark resident was arrested after he fatally struck a pedestrian on New Year's Eve in Westchester County, NY and fled the scene, authorities said. At 2:32 a.m., first responders in Croton-on-Hudson responded to a report of a pedestrian lying in the roadway on Route 9 and transported the man to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Croton police said.  Using pieces of the vehicle found in the roadway, the driver of the car was identified as Edisson E. Driver Dies After Medical Episode On Route 287: State Police A 53-year-old Bernardsville man died after suffering a medical episode on Route 287 in Morrison County on Tuesday, Jan. 2, New Jersey State Police said. At 5:10 p.m., troopers responded to the southbound side at milepost in 38 in Hanover Township and found the driver of a Chevy pickup, who has not been identified, having the medical emergency, Trooper Troy McNair said.  He was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead, McNair said.
