Pair Of F-18s To Fly Over Hudson River Toward Verrazano Bridge Friday Morning
A pair of fighter jets will fly over the Hudson River toward the Verrazano Bridge Friday. The F-18s will be flying 2,500 feet over the river toward the bridge at 11 a.m., the NYC Officer of Emergency Management said. The reason for the flyover was not announced, and was no cause for alarm, officials said.

Police in Newark are seeking a 22-year-old man reported missing for more than a week. Bryan Olano was last seen on June 16 at approximately 9:30 p.m., on the 300 block of North 7th Street, walking towards 4th Avenue, Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara said. He’s described as Hispanic, with a light complexion, 5’11” tall and 175 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and was wearing a Steelers hat, yellow t-shirt, black pants and yellow and black sneakers. Jersey City Man Charged In Newark Homicide
A 19-year-old Jersey City man was charged with murder in the shooting death of a 42-year-old Newark man, authorities said Thursday. Akram Brown was shot on Mt. Vernon Place in Newark on Wednesday, and pronounced dead at the scene at 8:02 p.m., Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, and Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara said. Shark Pinged 20-Miles Off NJ Coast
A 183-pound white shark who took a trip to the New Jersey coast late last month is back for more summer fun. Martha, a juvenile white shark who measures approximately 7 feet long, was "pinged" just before 8 a.m., Wednesday morning. She was spotted approximately 20 miles off the coast, between Point Pleasant and Neptune, according to shark tracking organization OCEARCH. Sharks will "ping" when their dorsal fin is above the surface long enough to be detected by a satellite. Driver Dead, Toddler Hurt In Essex County Crash
A driver was killed and a toddler injured in an Essex County crash early Thursday. The male driver lost control on North Munn Avenue near the William Street intersection and struck a parked car then overturned around 5:10 a.m. in East Orange, police said. The man was rushed to a local hospital where he later died, authorities said. A 2-year-old boy in the vehicle suffered minor injuries.

Decomposed Body Found In Abandoned Newark Building
A body was found in an abandoned Newark building Wednesday afternoon. Police responded to the 100 block of Rose Street where the unidentified body was found around 3 p.m., Newark Public Safety Director Brian O’Hara said. Unconfirmed reports say workers found the decomposed body in a confined space. Newark firefighters and EMS also responded. The incident remains under investigation. No further information is available.

Support is surging for the family of a 26-year-old aspiring attorney from New Jersey who was found dead in Pennsylvania last week. Funeral services for Kevin Rosero will be at the Judkins Colonial Home in Plainfield from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 26. Rosero's body was found in a wooded area of Richland Township, Pennsylvania last week. Brothers Anthony Gamble, 19, and Joshua Gamble, 17, of Franklin Township (Somerset County) have been charged in Rosero's death.
