6 New QuickChek Stores Coming To NJ This Summer QuickChek is set to open six new locations in New Jersey this summer. The convenient stores are coming to Hackettstown, Hamilton Township, Piscataway, Roxbury, Somerset and Somerville, its website says. The stores will be located at Hackettstown: 134 Mountain Ave. Hamilton Township: 704 Sloan Ave. Piscataway: 3 Lakeview Ave. Roxbury: 84 Route 206 Somerset: 1850 Easton Ave. Somerville: 3483 Route 22 They are all expected to open in August.

Off-Duty State Trooper Subdues Knife-Wielding Man In Dunkin Donuts Parking Lot An off-duty New Jersey State Trooper subdued a man with a knife during an altercation in the parking lot of a Dunkin Donuts last month. Det. Sgt. Michael Nelson overheard two men arguing behind his car in the parking lot of a Dunkin Donuts in Freehold, and noticed one of them brandish a large knife and threaten the other man on May 28, authorities said. Authorities ID Man Struck, Killed By Pickup Truck In Linden An 86-year-old man was struck and killed by a pickup truck Saturday night in Linden. Robert Kern was struck by a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe at the intersection of W Baltimore Avenue near Hussa Street around 8 p.m., police said. Kern, of Linden, was treated at the scene and rushed to Newark University Hospital, where he later died from his injuries, police said. The driver of the vehicle, a 49-year-old man also from Linden, was not injured in the crash. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Linden Police Traffic Bureau. Motorcyclist Killed In Howell Crash With Dump Truck A motorcyclist was killed in a Howell crash involving a dump truck Saturday. Th crash occurred on Herbertsville Road (County Route 459) just before 12:25 p.m. The motorcyclist was struck by the dump truck when he failed to negotiate a curve to the right and instead drove into oncoming traffic. The Newton’s Corner/Herbertsville split was closed for several hours. The dump truck driver remained at the scene and no charges were filed. The motorcyclist's name was not released. Photos: Fire Tears Through Adams County Barn A fire ripped through a barn in Adams County bringing several different fire companies to the scene Saturday. The owners were able to get all of the animals out when crews began arriving to the 90x90-foot barn on the 200 block of Hershey Heights in Berwick Township around 12:30 p.m. Firefighters worked in 90-degree heat to control the 2-alarm blaze. Former Trenton Catholic Track, Basketball Star Killed In I-295 Crash Authorities have identified the person killed early Saturday morning crash on Interstate 295 in Mercer County. Nathanal King, 26, was in a Hyundai Santa Fe traveling southbound in the right lane when his car struck the rear of a disabled tractor trailer near milepost 58 around 4:45 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Body Found On Jersey Shore Hiking Trail Identified Authorities have identified the woman whose body was found on a hiking trail in Ocean County Friday as a 41-year-old Seaside Heights resident. Megan Campana's body was found in a wooded area of the Barnegat Branch Trail near Country Line Road in Waretown, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.
