14-Hour SWAT Standoff Ends In Gunfight With Police In Philadelphia Neighborhood A pair of Philadelphia police officers returned fire at a 65-year-old suspect who shot at them during a 14-hour standoff over the weekend, authorities tell Daily Voice. Flood Watch Issued Across Region The second of two weekend storms was in full swing Sunday afternoon, April 30, with heavy rains pouring down and a flood watch in effect across New Jersey and greater Philadelphia. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain were expected to come down Sunday, and up to four total for the weekend. Drunk Man Shot For Leaning On Car In Elizabeth: PD A very drunk man was shot outside of an Elizabeth parking lot because another man was upset he was leaning on his car, authorities said. The vehicle was parked in a lot near North Avenue on Spring Street, Elizabeth police spokeswoman Ruby Contreras said. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the right side of his ribcage around 2:50 a.m. Sunday, April 30, and was hospitalized in stable condition. Police ID Trio Killed In Quadruple Philadelphia Shooting; Teens Charged Police have identified the three victims killed in the Lawncrest shooting in Philadelphia on Friday afternoon, April 28. Additionally, two people have been charged. Khalif Frezghi, 18; Malik Ballard, 17; and Salah Fleming, 14; all died in the incident on the 5900 block of Palmetto Street at about 3:35 p.m. A 16-year-old boy was injured. Meanwhile, a pair of juveniles, ages 15 and 16, were charged in the shooting.
