Jersey City Man, 34, Gunned Down A 34-year-old Jersey City man was shot and killed Saturday, March 4, authorities said. Tyreef Robinson was found with a gunshot wound to the upper body around 10:15 p.m. near 2 Bergen Ave., Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:27 p.m. The Cause and Manner of Death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office. The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are actively investigating this case. No arrests have been made at this time. Pair Dead In Newark Shooting Authorities have identified one of two men killed in Newark over the weekend. Sajade A. Nichols, 35, of Carteret, and an unidentified man were both found having suffered gunshot wounds on the 700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard around 5:05 p.m. Saturday, March 4, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. 27-Year-Old Jeep Driver Killed, Passenger Extricated In NJ Crash A 27-year-old Warren County Jeep driver was killed and his 33-year-old passenger extricated in a Union county crash Saturday, March 4, authorities said. The unidentified driver lost control of his Jeep Cherokee while heading south on North Broad Street near Hillside Avenue in Hillside just before 10 p.m., Hillside Chief Vincent Ricciardi said. The vehicle hit a guardrail and overturned in front of 16 Hillside Ave. The driver died and the passenger was taken to University Hospital in Newark in unknown condition. Both are from Washington Township.

The project is expected to improve system reliability for more than 3,000 customers served by the line, the company said.

A Vernon native, Kristen worked at ShopRite in Franklin for many years and at the Mixing Bowl Restaurant, where she amassed countless friends, according to her obituary. Police responding to the scene on the 800 block of Baldwin Avenue found the woman around 10:15 a.m., local police said. The victim said she'd been shot during a domestic argument. The suspect, who was still inside the home, surrendered to officers without incident, police said. The woman was treated on scene and taken to Newark University Hospital. The incident remains under investigation by the Linden Police Detective Bureau.
