Hundreds Without Power Across New Jersey JCP&L customers were reporting widespread outages across parts of New Jersey on Saturday, March 4. According to the JCP&L outage legend, the outages were reported in: Hunterdon: 637 Monmouth: 117 Morris: 55 Ocean: 808 Somerset: 41 Warren: 213 Restoration times varied between 4:30 and 6 p.m. Meanwhile, JCP&L recently announced a $6 million project to upgrade a high-voltage transmission line in Hunterdon, Morris and Warren counties. The project is expected to improve system reliability for more than 3,000 customers served by the line, the company said.

Sussex County Native Kristen Wargacki Dies, 36 Sussex County native Kristen Wargackie died on Sunday, Feb. 26. She was 36 years old. A Vernon native, Kristen worked at ShopRite in Franklin for many years and at the Mixing Bowl Restaurant, where she amassed countless friends, according to her obituary. Woman Shot During Domestic Dispute In Linden: Police A woman was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after being shot in a Linden domestic dispute, authorities said. Police responding to the scene on the 800 block of Baldwin Avenue found the woman around 10:15 a.m., local police said. The victim said she'd been shot during a domestic argument. The suspect, who was still inside the home, surrendered to officers without incident, police said. The woman was treated on scene and taken to Newark University Hospital. The incident remains under investigation by the Linden Police Detective Bureau.

Woman With Jacket Zipped Over Face Rescued From Potomac River A woman struggling in the Potomac River Friday night, March 3 was rescued by a good Samaritan who happened to be in the right place at the right time, responders said. DC Fire and EMS sent a boat about half-a-mile below the Lincoln Memorial along Ohio Drive SW around 7 p.m., but the woman had already been rescued by a civilian by the time firefighters arrived, the department said. Woman Who Went On Racial Tirade At PA Pizzeria Facing Charges A 55-year-old woman who went on a racial tirade in a Montgomery County pizzeria is facing charges, authorities said. Rita Bellew, of Hatboro, has been charged with ethnic intimidation and harassment following her rant that went viral at Amy's Pizzeria on Feb. 23 in Hatboro last week, Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. SWAT Standoff Unfolds In Philadelphia A man who barricaded himself in a Philadelphia home created a SWAT standoff Friday, March 3, authorities said. Police responded to a man on a roof of a home on the 500 block of E. 'Don't Move:' Armed Home Invaders Posing As Deliverymen Ransack MontCo Woman's Home, Police Say Authorities in Montgomery County are seeking three men who posed as deliverymen and held a female homeowner at gunpoint last month.
