Police Shootout During Philadelphia Traffic Stop Lands Trio In Custody Three people were in police custody after shooting at officers during a traffic stop Thursday, March 2 in Philadelphia, authorities said. Police shot back at the occupants of a Chevy Tahoe when they opened fire at the officers in their police vehicle around 7:40 p.m. on Summer and 54th, city police said. No injuries were reported. A fourth male remained at large.

Pedestrian Killed On Route 287 ID'd As Morristown Man A 38-year-old Morristown man was struck and killed on Route 287 on Thursday, March 1, authorities said. Alfrez Hernandez was walking near the left lane when he was struck by a Volkswagon Tiguan near milepost 16 on the southbound side of the highway in Bridgewater around 2:30 a.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper Charles Marchan said. The driver of the Volkswagon remained on scene and was not injured. The crash remains under investigation.

Samantha Crich and her daughter, Elizabeth, were coming home from a doctor's visit when they were struck by an out-of-control tractor trailer around 11 a.m., according to a GoFundMe campaign and Pennsylvania State Police. Hoboken Teacher Sent, Received Explicit Photos With 14-Year-Old Girl: Prosecutor A 32-year-old teacher at a Hoboken charter school is facing various charges for sending and receiving explicit photos with a 14-year-old girl from out of state over social media, authorities said. Eric Schau apparently identified himself as a teacher while communicating with the girl over Discord, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Schau, of Jersey City, was arrested March 1 and charged with endangering the welfare of a child. He has since been terminated from his job at the Elysian Charter School in Hoboken and was held pending trial, the prosecutor said.

Casting Call: Balding Men Needed For TV Show Filming In NYC Men with receding hairlines are being sought for roles in a show being filmed in New York City. The casting calls say only that the roles are for men ages 30 to 50 in a historical docuseries that will air on a major streaming service. Actors must be white with brown or dark blonde receding hair, although balding is best. A mustache is a plus, but not required. The gig pays about $500 a day. 3 Dead In 5-Vehicle Crash On Route 33: State Police Three people were killed in a crash that began with an out-of-control tractor trailer on Route 33 in Monroe County Wednesday, March 1, Pennsylvania State Police said. The southbound trailer lost control and ended up in the northbound lanes, where it struck another tractor trailer and three other vehicles head-on, around 11 a.m. near the Saylorsburg exit, police said in a statement. A driver and front-seat passenger were pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of another vehicle was pronounced dead at the hospital.  The highway was closed for several hours.
