Speeding Teen Crashes Parents' Corvette In Edison
A 17-year-old driver was speeding before crashing his parents' Corvette overnight in Edison, authorities said. The driver damaged the entrance to Pierre's Deli on Georges Road around 1 a.m., totaling the car, South Brunswick police said. The driver was issued a summons. Police said speed was the reason for the crash.

Officer Critical After Shootout That Left Suspect Dead In South Jersey
A South Jersey police officer was in critical condition after a shootout that left him wounded and a suspect dead on Friday, March 10, according to authorities and those who knew the officer. More than $9,000 had been raised on a GoFundMe for Deptford Police Officer Bobby Shisler as of 11 p.m. The shootout occurred around 12:45 p.m. near Doman Avenue in Deptford, according to New Jersey Attorney General Matthew J. : Bergen County Nabisco Factory Has Implosion Date
What's left of the building that long housed Bergen County's Nabisco factory will soon crumble to the ground. The factory along Route 208 will come down at 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, Glen Rock officials announced. Nearly 600 workers were laid off when the Nabisco plant closed after 60 years in 2021. Crews began tearing down the building to make way for a new distribution center owned by Greek Development, who is redeveloping the property.

A pair of storms heading to New Jersey will bring mostly rain and some snow this weekend and early next week, forecasters say. Parts of Morris and Sussex County could see up to six inches of snow that will begin to fall overnight Friday, March 10 into Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service. Between one and three inches of snow was expected across parts of Bergen, Essex, Passaic, Warren and Hunterdon counties. Skies will clear up Saturday after 10 a.m., with a high around 45. Smithtown Man Caught Masturbating Around Kids In Kohl's Store: Police
A 27-year-old Long Island man is facing charges after masturbating in a Kohl's store, authorities said. Christopher Honnold, of Smithtown, was walking around the store in Secaucus, New Jersey, around 3:10 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, "gratifying himself in view of the public where children under the age of 13 could observe him," Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said.
