Pillar Of Family's Newark Ice Cream Shop Dies On Christmas
The owner of longtime, family-owned Newark Nasto's Ice Cream Co., Frank Nasto Jr., died on Christmas. According to a post to the ice creamery's Facebook page, Nasto died peacefully in his sleep at 85 years old. "He to was the the heart and soul of Nasto’s Ice Cream and built it to what it is today," the post says. "His hard work and dedication will forever be apart of his legacy. A Jersey Cash 5 ticket winner worth $131,387 was sold in Bergen County. The ticket from the Saturday, Dec. 24 drawing was sold at Food Mart, 168 Main Ave. in Wallington. The winning numbers were: 06, 16, 21, 22 and 27 and the XTRA number was: 04. The retailer will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for the winning ticket sold.

Pennsylvania Diner Featured On TV Show Has Best French Toast In State, Website Says
One Pennsylvania diner known for its variety of French toast tops the best in the state, according to Eat This, Not That. The Dor-Stop on Potomac Avenue in Pittsburgh was featured in a 2008 episode of "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" with Guy Fieri, who tried their Jumbot. Dor-Stop offers walnut, raspberry French toast, S'mores and Texas French toast. The restaurant was founded in 1986 is owned and operated by Justin and Jennifer Berger. A 31-year-old gunman abducted a baby and fled in his victim's car after shooting her and leaving her to die in a Christmas attack, authorities in Baltimore County said. Authorities have identified the 54-year-old woman who died in a York County fire last week. KeShim Whiteleather's body was found inside the home on the 500 block of Rockville Road in Jackson Township on Thursday, Dec. 22 around 8:30 p.m., according to a release by the York County coroner's office. The Nashville volunteer fire department led the fire against the blaze.
