North Jersey Man Stabbed Dead In His Own Apartment: Prosecutor A 41-year-old North Jersey man was found stabbed to death in his apartment, authorities said. Police performing a welfare check on Kenneth Wilkerson Jr. found him with multiple stab wounds in his South Burnett Street apartment in East Orange the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 4, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens II said. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:30 a.m., Stephens said alongside East Orange Police Chief Phyllis Bindi. The investigation is active and ongoing. No arrests have been made. Maryland Gunman Calmly Robs Virginia Jewelry Store (Video): Police Police in Virginia are seeking a 25-year-old Maryland man who they say robbed a jewelry store at gunpoint last month (scroll for video). 36,000 Drivers Overcharged By E-zpass At Parkway Toll Plaza Nearly 36,000 drivers were overcharged by E-ZPass at a toll plaza on the Garden State Parkway last month, officials said. Since Sept. 20, nearly every vehicle in one particular lane had been classified as a truck at the Great Egg Harbor toll plaza in Somers Point, a spokesman for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority said. Police Car Crash Among 2 Accidents On Route 13 Less Than 90 Mins Apart A crash involving a police car was among two accidents that occurred on Route 13 Monday, Oct. 3, less than 90 minutes apart. The first accident involving a pickup truck and sedan was reported around 6:50 p.m. at the Levittown Parkway intersection in Tullytown, fire officials and LevittownNow said.
