Man Admits Killing North Jersey Mom For $11 Million Fortune A New York City man admitted he killed his mom and had help from his lovers hiding her body in the family's North Jersey home in an effort to expedite his inheritance of her $11 million savings, prosecutors said. Jared Eng pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree murder as part of a plea deal Friday, Sept. 16, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said. Family Of Horse Killed, Teen Hurt In NJ Hit-Run Crash Seeking Justice His name was Predator, and his owners are seeking justice. The 15-year-old horse was killed and his 14-year-old rider seriously hurt in a hit-and-run crash in Gloucester County last week, authorities previously said. Edgar Galarza told his sister, Tatiana Feliciano, to get out of the street split seconds before she and Predator were hit by a pickup truck heading west on Monroeville Road in Franklin Township around 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, he tells CBS. Teen Brothers Attacked By Mob After Football Game At Elizabeth McDonald's Two brothers from Elizabeth were hospitalized after being beaten — one of them badly — by a crowd after a high school football game Friday, Sept. 16, authorities said. The 17-year-old brother was found unconscious after apparently being pummeled and stomped behind the football stadium on Fillmore Street, according to the spokesperson for the city police department and RLS Media. His 19-year-old brother was treated for minor injuries to his head, police said. Authorities were seeking those responsible for the incident and spoke to the brothers' mom.

18-Year-Old Hershey Driver Dies In Lehigh Crash, Coroner Says An 18-year-old man from Hershey died in a Lehigh County crash Friday, Sept. 16, according to the county coroner. Gabriel Whitesell was behind the wheel when his car collided with another vehicle around 8:35 p.m. on Route 309 near Mountain Road in Lynn Township, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio said. Whitesell, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead just before 9:20 p.m., authorities said. The manner of death was accidental.

This Historic Massachusetts Home Is On Sale For First Time In 300 Years It's been 300 years since one Massachusetts home went on the market. The 4,500-square-foot colonial on Sudbury Road in Concord — which was apparently used to store tents, utensils and axes during the Revolutionary War, according to WCVB — is listed for nearly $1.6 million. Maria Oliveri, of Riverdale, was heading north in the southbound lane in a Mitsubishi Mirage on Boulevard in Pequannock around 8:25 a.m. on June 11, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll said. Teen Girl Who Accidentally Shot Herself In Newark Dies A 13-year-old girl who accidentally shot herself on Friday night has died, sources with direct knowledge of the incident tell Daily Voice. The teen had been hospitalized after shooting herself in a Schley Street home around 11:30 p.m., Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said previously. She died around 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18 at University Hospital, sources said. The Essex County Prosecutor's Office is investigating.

He Thought Gun Was Unloaded — Then He Killed His Friend: Burlington Prosecutor An 18-year-old man playing with a gun accidentally shot his friend in South Jersey, authorities said. Missing Howard County Man, 26, Found Dead The search for a missing Howard County man came to a tragic end over the weekend when he was found dead, police said. Troy David Walter, 26, of Sykesville, had last been seen Thursday, Sept. 15, near 15600 block of Old Frederick Road in Woodbine by a coworker around 10:15 a.m., Howard County police said. It was not immediately clear where his body was found. No foul play was suspected.
