Take a look at Pradel Delinois' Facebook page and what you'll see is a happy family at the beach. The picture the Maryland dad paints of his life online apparently was drastically different from the dark reality. Delinois and his wife, Ornelie Charles, were charged with the beating death of his 5-year-old daughter, Predaline, authorities in Prince George's County said. The girl was found unresponsive on Thursday, Aug. 18 in the 5100 block of Cumberland Street, police said. She was rushed to a hospital shortly after arrival. NJ Residents Can Adopt Puppy Envigo Beagles Saved From Horrific Breeding Facility
The Envigo beagles are on to the next chapter of their lives: The good part. Five male puppies — among the 4,000 dogs rescued from a mass breading facility in Virginia — have been brought to the Monmouth County SPCA for adoption. The beagles were bred to be sold to laboratories for animal experimentation and kept in horrific conditions. The transfer will take place in stages over the next 60 days, and the dogs will be up for adoption via MCSPCA & other shelters & rescues. Teen Boy On Stolen Motorcycle Seriously Hurt In Linden Crash
A 16-year-old boy riding a stolen motorcycle was seriously hurt in a Linden crash Friday, Aug. 26, authorities said. The 2017 Kawasaki traveling north on S. Stiles Street struck a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox that was making a turn onto W. Stimpson Avenue around 8:15 p.m., local police said. It was later learned that the motorcycle had been reported stolen from New York City. One of the motorcyclists, identified as a 16-year-old Brooklyn boy, was seriously injured in the crash. Pedestrian, 31, Critical In Anne Arundel Hit-Run Crash: Authorities
A 31-year-old man was hospitalized in critical condition after being struck by a truck while walking on a highway on Friday, Aug. 26 in Anne Arundel County, police said. Mason Allen Schaeffer, of Brooklyn Park, was in the southbound lane of Ritchie Highway at 6th Avenue when he was struck by a pickup truck around 9:20 p.m., county police said. The Chevrolet pickup fled the scene and Schaeffer was rushed to University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with life threatening injuries. The truck is believed to be beige or white color, cap with a ladder rack.

Victim Ejected, Killed In Route 1&9 Crash
One person died in a crash on Route 1&9 early Saturday, Aug. 27 in Newark, authorities said. The male driver struck a guard rial near Haynes Avenue, causing his vehicle to overturn around 5:30 a.m., Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. The victim was transported to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The incident remains under investigation. No further information was available.

3 Cases Of West Nile Virus Reported In These NJ Counties
New Jersey has its first cases of West Nile Virus of the year, the state's health department confirmed. Three men tested positive for the virus in Bergen, Morris, and Ocean counties. Two are in their 50s, one is in his 80s, and all were hospitalized. Two were recovering at home and one remains hospitalized. WNV has also been detected in 293 mosquito pools and a red-tailed hawk this year in New Jersey. No cases of WNV have been reported in horses in 2022. A 54-year-old man was sentenced to time in New Jersey State Prison for using a fake gun to rob his former employer, McDonald's during what he said was a "practical joke" while out on bail for another robbery, authorities announced. Detectives intercepted a plan to steal more than $13 million from a Pennsylvania school district, authorities announced Friday, Aug. 26. Fraudsters in Nigeria apparently hacked the Chester Upland School District's email system in 2021 and sent emails to the Department of Education requesting a payment change, 6abc reports citing Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer. Summit Woman, 28, Stabbed Dead In Newark
UPDATE: Arrest Made In Murder Of 28-Year-Old Summit Woman A 28-year-old Summit resident was stabbed dead in Newark overnight, authorities said. Angelika K. Miles was found suffering stab wounds on the 500 block of Ferry Street around 3:45 a.m. Friday, Aug. 26, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens II and Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said.
