Stuck Truck Jams Bayonne Roadway
A truck stuck under a bridge jammed a street in Bayonne Thursday, May 12. The Penske truck got stuck under the underpass on 21st Street between Ave E and Prospect Avenue around 9:30 p.m. LiteRail service south of 22nd St station was temporarily stopped.

DUI Driver Kills Glen Burnie Woman With Flat Tire On Road Shoulder: Police
A Glen Burnie woman was struck and killed by a DUI driver while helping another driver with his vehicle in the shoulder of Route 10 Thursday, May 12 in Anne Arundel County, authorities said. Tramellia Nicole Wright, 47, was in the shoulder of the road getting help from another driver fixing the flat on her gray Hyundai Elantra on the southbound side of the road between I-695 and Ordnance Road around 1:10 p.m., Anne Arundel County police said. Ho-Ho-Kus SWAT Situation Ends Peacefully (

A man who barricaded himself in a Ho-Ho-Kus home apparently with multiple registered firearms was hospitalized after an hour-long standoff, sources say. The Bergen County SWAT team responded to the Lakewood Avenue home just before 5 p.m., apparently as a precaution. It was not clear why authorities responded to the house. The man was later taken to Bergen New Bridge Medical Center for evaluation. It was not clear if he was charged.

North Jersey Man Had 7K+ Child Porn Photos, Some Prepubescent Kids: Prosecutor
A 19-year-old Oradell man has been arrested on child pornography charges, authorities said. A search of Everett C. Reilly’s home found more than 7,000 child pornography digital files depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. Reilly used the internet to download and distribute the files, authorities said. He was arrested Thursday, May 12, 2022 in Paramus, on charges of child pornography, Musella said. These 70+ NJ Gas Stations Are Dropping Prices Friday
Ever wonder how cheap gas in New Jersey would be if it was self-serve? More than 70 New Jersey stations will be offering fuel at a discounted rate to show drivers just that on Friday, May 13. The initiative promoting self-serving fueling was launched by Fuel Your Way NJ, a coalition that advocates for self-serve gas stations that still offer full service. Elderly Route 208 Driver Sends Car Through Fence
A driver more than 90 years old suffering an apparent medical episode sent his vehicle through a fence on Route 208 Thursday, May 12. The vehicle went through a fence on the southbound side of the highway, and came to rest in the backyard of a home on William Way around 2 p.m. The driver was hospitalized for evaluation and his passenger was unharmed. Wyckoff police, Wyckoff EMS, and a paramedic team from The Valley responded. The car was towed and the fence was left heavily damaged. Boyd A. Loving also contributed to this story.

J. Cole Attends NJ Fan's College Graduation
A Rowan University graduate had a very special guest at her commencement ceremony: J. Cole. The Grammy Award-winning rapper showed up to support 25-year-old Cierra Bosarge, a journalism major from Glassboro. "It means everything to me," Bosarge tells Daily Voice. "Having the people that matter to me show up for me meant so much. I definitely feel the love and that’s what I needed." A website dedicated to analyzing and publishing data on safety and quality of hospitals in the US has released new findings. Each hospital is graded A through D on infections, problems with surgery, safety problems, practice to prevent errors, and doctors/nurses/hospital staff. Jersey City Man Admits Killing Roommate: Prosecutor
A 28-year-old man admitted stabbing his roommate dead in their Jersey City apartment in 2020, authorities said. Tong Cheng pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated manslaughter in the death of Yuting Ge, 23, in connection with the Aug. 8, 2020 incident in their New York Avenue apartment, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Ge's lifeless body covered in gashes around 12:30 p.m., Suarez said. He was pronounced dead less than half an hour later..
