Reward Offered In Montgomery County Shooting
A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information in a Montgomery County shooting. The victim was found at the intersection of Bradley Avenue and Fletcher Place with a gunshot wound around 11:50 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, county police said. Officers provided life saving measures until fire rescue arrived and transported the victim to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Detectives Seek Family Of Woman Found Dead In Baltimore Home
Detectives in Baltimore are looking for the family of a woman found unresponsive in a Baltimore home earlier this month. Beverly Cooper-Figueroa was pronounced dead at the scene, after she was found lying unresponsive inside of a Druid Hill Avenue home on Feb. 5 around 2:45 p.m., city police said. Hackensack YMCA Leaving After 90 Years
The Hackensack YMCA will be leaving its Main Street property after 90 years. Financial decline in the last 10 years prompted the Greater Bergen County YMCA to sell the property, it said in a statement released last week. A new location will open in New Milford on April 1. Meanwhile, the Hackensack building is under contract for sale with a development partner. Arrest Made In Deadly Route 9 Hit-Run
A 21-year-old Manalapan man has been arrested in connection with a deadly Route 9 hit-and-run earlier this week, authorities announced. Asbury Park's Anthony Allen, 64, was found lying on the center median near Ferry Road in Old Bridge around 6:45 a.m. on Feb. 15, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said. A 20-year-old Philadelphia man has been indicted on charges filed in connection with a deadly shooting in a South Jersey shopping center parking lot, authorities said. A 30-year-old music teacher from Maryland has been arrested on accusations he sexually assaulted a then-12-year-old student for two years, authorities said. Priyant Sundas, 30, of Grosvenor Place, abused the student during one-on-one lessons at the at the Soundcheck Rock Academy, formerly known as the Columbia Rock School between 2018 and 2020, Howard County police said.
