Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Five Rescued From Water After Boat Hits Rocks Off Fairfield County Coast Five people aboard a boat in distress were rescued off the coast of Fairfield County. Just before 10:20 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, marine units in Bridgeport responded to the boat off the Penfield Lighthouse. Beloved High School Teacher, Coach In Northern Westchester Dies A lifelong Hudson Valley resident who was a beloved high school coach, and teacher, as well as the chief of a local fire department, and a standout college athlete in Connecticut, has died. Northern Westchester resident Michael Repp, of Somers and formerly of Katonah, died on Wednesday, Oct. 6 at age 82 at Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco. Suspect Nabbed Nearly Exactly One Year After 20-Year-Old Shot, Killed In Westchester A suspect has been taken into custody nearly a year to the day after a fatal shooting in Westchester. At about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020, members of the Yonkers Police Department responded to the area of Lawrence Street on a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim inside the lobby of 19 Lawrence St. with a gunshot wound to his torso, Yonkers Police said. Drunk Driver Involved In Long Island Crash Had 2-Year-Old In BMW, Police Say A driver involved in a two-vehicle Long Island crash was driving drunk with a 2-year-old in the car, police said. Nassau County Police say that on Friday, Oct. 8 at 5:25 p.m., a Fourth Precinct Police Officer on patrol in Inwood observed a crash eastbound at the intersection of Sheridan Boulevard and Bayswater boulevard. The crash involved a blue 2006 BMW four-door sedan, which struck a 2003 Chevrolet SUV from behind, according to police. After interviewing the driver of the BMW, Andrew A. Recall Issued For Canned Beef Products Due To Possible High Levels Of Lead About 525,000 pounds of canned beef with gravy products that may be contaminated with unsafe levels of lead are being recalled. Crider Foods cited a spice mix used from an outside supplier as the reason for the recall, the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced on Saturday, Oct. 8. 21-Year-Old Long Island Man Killed After Crash Crashes Into Tree An investigation is underway after a man was killed in a single-vehicle overnight Long Island crash. It happened around 1:15 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9 in Copiague. Reny Cruz-Puente, age 21, of Copiague, was driving a 2004 Honda Acura TSX southbound on Deauville Boulevard, north of Kenmore Road, when the vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a tree, ejecting the driver from the vehicle, Suffolk County Police said. Woman Killed In Rollover I-90 Crash A woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash on I-90 in Massachusetts. Troopers in Worcester County from the State Police-Charlton arracks responded to the crash eastbound in Charlton around 4:15 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8. Woman Shot In Broad Daylight At Busy Long Island Intersection Police detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred in broad daylight at a busy Long Island intersection.
