North Castle Residents Come Out For Christmas Tree Sale WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The annual North White Plains Fire Company No. 1 Christmas tree sale began almost as soon as turkey dinner was served. The weekend proved especially busy, with folks from all over stopping by for hot coffee, a tour of the firehouse and fresh, green trees. Trees are sold until supplies last; Thursdays and Fridays from 4-8 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m.-9 p.m.  All proceeds from this yearly fundraiser go to the Fire Company, an all-volunteer department serving the residents of North White Plains. Rye's Mistletoe Magic Continues To Delight RYE, N.Y. -- Warmer than usual temperatures brought big crowds (roughly 5,000 people) to Rye's annual Mistletoe Magic Festival Nov. 30. New this year: A petting zoo, along with the usual chili cook-off, horse-drawn sleighs, bouncy castle, face-painting, an array of vendors, and, of course, Santa.
