Walkway Over The Hudson Holding Annual Holiday Celebration POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The Walkway over the Hudson is having a holiday celebration today that includes a visit from Santa, hot cocoa, cookies and refreshments. The elevator will only be open and assessable through upper landing park for visitors to view fireworks. Admission is complementary for walkway members, non-members will cost $5. The Celebration of Lights parade will begin at 6:30 p.m.on Main Street with two Christmas tree lightings, one near Market Street and one at Dongan Square Park. Stamford High Christmas Tree Sale Benefits Band STAMFORD, Conn. -- The Stamford High School Band's Christmas tree and wreath sale runs through Dec. 23 at Stamford High School. Proceeds from this parent- and student-run fundraiser directly benefit the band program. Each band member is required to help set-up the lot, unload the trees, and work a minimum of three sessions. Chabad Briarcliff Kicks Off Hanukkah With Menorah Car Parade BRIARCLIFF, N.Y. -- Briarcliff starts Hanukkah with a car parade and menorah lighting on Sunday, Dec. 6. Festivities begin at 5 p.m. with balloon art, face painting, and dreidels. The car parade at 5 p.m. begins at the Chabad, and ends at Pocket Park in Briarcliff, where the menorah will be lit at 5:30 p.m. The event will have refreshments and is open to the public.
