Tarrytown Celebrates David Amram's 85th Birthday TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- Famous jazz composer David Amram celebrated his 85th birthday at the Jazz Forum in Tarrytown on Nov. 21. The event was organized by Mark Morganelli, who performed along with Amram and other jazz greats. Tarrytown Mayor Drew Fixell was in attendance. Jazz Forum is at 1 Dixon Lane, Tarrytown and is expected to officially open soon.

Ring In The Holiday Season At Mahwah's Tree Lighting MAHWAH, N.J. -- Mahwah's annual Christmas tree-lighting festival, sponsored by the Mahwah Recreation Committee, will be Sunday. Santa Dives With The Sharks At Norwalk's Maritime Aquarium NORWALK, Conn. -- Santa Claus will be diving with the sharks in December to help The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk demonstrate that sharks are not naughty but nice. At 12:15 and 2:15 p.m. each day this weekend and most Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout December, Santa will get into his scuba gear and enter the aquarium’s 110,000-gallon “Ocean Beyond the Sound” exhibit, which is home to 7-foot sand tiger and lemon sharks.
