Mount Pleasant Kindergarten Classes Make Apple Cider MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. -- Mount Pleasant's kindergarten classes recently made their own apple cider using the school's apple press.  Each class got to drop their apples in the top of the press and turn the fly wheel to crush the apples. When the crushing was done, a press was used to squeeze the juice out of the crushed apples.  The students then drank the cider they helped make. The apple pulp was then taken to the woods to become compost.
