Norwalk Knights Of Columbus Raise $3,500 With Macaroni Dinner
NORWALK, Conn. -- The Norwalk Knights of Columbus St. Matthew Council #14360 hosted their fourth annual Columbus Day Macaroni Dinner on Oct. 24 and raised over $3,500.The funds raised will go toward assisting the following organizations: Malta House, Notre Dame Convalescent Home, Homes for the Brave, Fisher House, Our Lady of Solace in Coney Island, N.Y., All Saints Catholic School, Star Inc., and Al’s Angels.

Stamford Youth Soccer League’s Boys U11 Wins CT State Cup
STAMFORD, Conn. -- The Stamford Youth Soccer League’s Boys U11 White Team won the Connecticut Cup on Saturday, Nov. 7, winning the Championship against Weston’s U11 Blue, with a score of 5-1.
The game was held at the Farmington Sports Fields in Farmington. The Connecticut Cup is a statewide competition in which travel teams from around Connecticut in the same age group compete.

HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. -- Mary Janet Rubino (Olson), a Hasbrouck Heights resident, died Tuesday, Nov. 10. She was 76.
Rubino is survived by her husband of 50 years, Thomas; her sons; Jeffrey and his wife Sue, Gregory; a granddaughter, Kayla; sisters, Virginia "Ginger" Hachadourian and Katharine Vander Weit; brothers, Arthur Olson and Eric Olson; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. -- Zinaida M. "Zinny" Rudnicki, an Elmwood Park resident, died Tuesday, Nov.10.
She was born in New York City, moving to Elmwood Park 50 years ago. Prior to her retirement, she was a self-employed beautician for more than 40 years, and also was a volunteer for St. Mary's Assumption Slovak R.C. Church in Passaic.
Rudnicki was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Rudnicki and brother, Norman "Eddie" Ocasal.
